Having fun at Disneyland Paris

As a child I used to love Disney’s movies: Peter Pan, Snow White, Aladdin, The Lion King and more, each and every one of them filled with adventures and magic, well designed characters and a happy-ever-after stories which allows us to escape from reality for a little while.
It’s not a secret that I got inspired a lot from Disney movies, so that is why it was only logical for me to come and see the magic of Disneyland Paris from first hand, and get inspired while having some fun.

As those of you who follow our blog regularly probably remember, we were out for vacation last November, which was just the time in which the park was well decorated for Christmas.
In my opinion, Disneyland Paris castle is with no doubt the most beautiful castle that Disney has ever build.

Some of the park’s attractions are true gems:
‘Big Thunder Mountain’ coaster has it’s very own island!
The coaster is surrounded by a lake, while the loading station is on shore. When you start the ride you cross the lake through a dark tunnel.

The decaying Phantom manor, that stands on the top of a small hill, reveals the story of Melanie, the young bride who waited for her groom but he never showed up. That was because a mysterious Phantom had lured her fiancée up the manor’s attic where he hanged him by the neck!

On Adventureland there are a lot of places to explore, hidden treasures to be found and interesting architecture to be seen. This is where I got the inspiration for our upcoming game: “Carmel Explorers Society”.

And now for the ride which I think is the best – The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror!
It is actually located in the adjacent park, the Walt Disney Studios.
On October 31, 1939, the Hollywood Tower Hotel was struck by a lightning, transporting an elevator car along with it’s passengers into the Twilight Zone.
Now you have the chance to get inside the service elevator of this abandoned hotel, but keep in mind you’ll might find yourself moving into… The Twilight Zone! Muhaha!

There is a lot more to see, but since this post has turned out to be long enough I’ll stop here 🙂
The most important thing is that I got some inspiration for a few games you’ll see in the near future.
We will keep you posted regarding the Tammy Joe Superstar game in the following days.

Cheers!
