Carmel Games 3rd Anniversary

Hi everybody!
Today we are celebrating 3 great years of point&click games making!
We’ve release 57 point and click games so far (plus 10 more under another brand), that’s an average of 19 games per year!
Thank you for playing our games and we hope you’ll enjoy our future games as well.
We know that some of you are seeking more challenge in our games, we’re working on it and you’ll see the results soon.
Share with us your favorite game in the comments below!

To celebrate the event properly, we invite you to take part in Carmelo’s Art Expo 2016, where you’ll get the opportunity to show off your talent 🙂
Send us anything creative that is related to Carmel Games.
It can be a new logo, a new character, fan art for one of our games, a concept art for a new game, costumes, CG cupcakes or anything else you have in mind. You may send more than one art, you are not limited to a single submission, send whatever amount you want.
The winner will receive a brand new, hard cover copy of Disney Kingdoms – Seekers of the Weird.
Send your work to our contest email:
Or instead you could send it as a private message on Facebook.
The contest will end on January 7th.

For December, we plan to release Monster Love (our late Halloween game) and the first chapter of Mystic Seer.
Since we’ve been reading your comments and applying some of your ideas to Mystic Seer, we also wanted to hear your opinions regarding the hotspots inside the game’s screens.
A hotspot is an area in the background image that the player can interact with, many of them are not necessary to actually finish the game.
For example, in the photo below you can see the hotspots in one of the 1st Skip backgrounds.
Do you wish to see more hotspots in each background, or shall we keep it to the minimum required in order to play and finish the game?

That is all for now, have a magical day!

Congrats on a very successful 3 years!! I believe it was Vortex Point that caused me to look for your site, but you haven’t made a game yet that I haven’t liked. David and Keithan has quickly risen to the top for me, as well. And of course, you know I’m a bit partial to Tammy Jo Superstar… lol I’m so looking forward to the Mystic Seer! You never disappoint… I’m a loyal fan!

    • Hi Tammy,

You are a loyal fan indeed! Thank you for following us so constantly for all this time and helping us along the way. You really are one of our top fans 🙂
We can promise you that there is a lot more to expect from us in the future!

  • Red Spark

Happy 3rd anniversary, Carmel Games! Thanks so much for the wonderful games you made!

  • Irenne

    Happy anniversary, guys!
I like all your games, but I love Crazydad’s games, Mermaid city, Space on the case and the first Back in time. Oh, and I love the hotspots, especially the funny ones 🙂

    • Hi Irenne,

Thank you very much! Some of your favorites will most likely get sequels, some won’t, stay tuned 😛

  • Happy anniversary Carmelo……I love all the games and i m sure the upcoming games will be awesome…..

    • Thank you Pragya and thanks for helping us introducing Hindi translations into our games!

  • Panda Kelly

It’s very nice to hear, we hope too that we will keep succeeding and never fail you in the future as well 🙂

  • AtomicBow

Happy anniversary! Hope you celebrate grandly, have fun. I personally enjoyed Habla Kadabla and Mermaid city. I’m still trying to gather up ideas on what to send to you guys. I’ll try sending some fan art, I’m trying to learn how to use Paint.NET efficiently.

    • Thank you, good luck with your entry!
We can see there’s a higher demand than we thought for Mermaid City, we’ll see what we can do about it 🙂

  • Dora

Happy third anniversary! Wish you the best!

  • Lydia

I haven’t really paid attention to how many hotspots you put in your games on average. Just throw in some funny or entertaining ones in addition to the ones necessary to finish the game, as you have done before. 🙂

    • Lydia

I like the silly name ones like “King Sal. A. Mander”. Whoever comes up with those is creative. 🙂

    • Maybe we should’ve made an option in the poll for keeping the same amount 😛
We’ll still consider your comment of course!

  • Lydia

My favorite game series include Dakota Winchester, Sherlock Holmes, CrazyDad, Katja’s Escape, and Who Lives Here (I have to pace myself with all the new ones, lol). I also like Tales of Carmelot. I liked the time period it took place in. It has a fun feel to it. My favorites tend to be adventure and mystery/sleuth games.

    • Thank you for the feedback Lydia, I am happy to say that some of the games you’ve mentioned will get sequels in the future 🙂

      • Lydia

No problem. I can’t wait for the sequels. 🙂

  • andrea

My favourite games are Luke (first and remake), like vampire like son, vortex point (6 is my favourite), creepo’s tales….I stop here but i love your work! (the proposal, ray and cooper ecc.)

  • Ahmed Hassan

what are the other ten games that you have released?

    • We’ll make a post about them in the near future, with a possibility of playing them of course 🙂

  • Aarsh Khare

Where can we find all your friends..specially the 10 other games??

    • We’ll release more details about our older games soon, stay tuned!

    Happy anniversary!
I’d love to see another Creepos Tale game, and I really like the fantasy themed games, like Tales of Carmelot and the first Back in Time game. I also liked Pierre Hotel and the Sherlock Holms games. I like all your games, but these stand out the most. I’d love the games to have more locations and be more challenging with more things to interact with. Your newest game, Christmas Blackout, was fun, but way to easy to win 🙂

Keep up the good work, can’t wait for the next one 🙂

Thank you for those great games 😀

    • Hi Soffia,

Thank you very much for the detailed feedback, this is important to us and we will take it all under consideration. You will definitely see more fantasy and detective themed games in the future, as these (and horror) are our favorite genres too 😛
Regarding more locations and more challenging, please expect The Baron game, which will take care of these issues 🙂

      • Soffía Sólveig H

Thank you for answering my comment dear Carmelo. I look forward to trying your new games. Just finished your newest, Monster Love, and it was a lot of fun. 🙂 And thanks again for great games 🙂

  • Joy97

Happy 3rd anniversary! Keep up the good work!

  • Ana Fernández

Happy anniversary!! You guys are awesome and 19 games per year is such an amazing rate! 😀
I think VP are my favorite games but I’d also love to see more Back in Time and Creepo’s Tales… and maybe some other fantasy game like Alyssa’s quest?
Keep the amazing work and congratulations on your three years again! 🙂

    • Hi Ana,

Thank you very much and thank you for helping us so much with the translations!
You will definitely see more fantasy games, we really love that genre. There will also probably be more Creepo games and 100% more VP. Regarding Back in Time, we don’t know for now… We’ll see 🙂

  • Bill Williams

Sick Games Creator = Carmel Games

    • We’ll take it as a compliment 🙂

      • Bill Williams

That’s why your games all suck. Because you do not even listen to players’ opinion. My opinion about your games is that a formal puzzle game has to be logical. However, your puzzle games are not logical. It is weird and silly. Players cannot use their mind to solve the puzzle, but to “try” your puzzle. Players want to challenge your puzzle! Players want to prove they are intelligent! That’s why they play a puzzle game instead of a exciting shooting/ car game. However, your puzzle games disappoint them, and even annoying them. Can you please make a more logical puzzle game? By the way, I love the art, character’s voice and story. Its just lack of a little logic.

        • Hi Bill,
We don’t listen to players’ opinions? Really? Not only that this website is almost entirely dedicated to interaction with our players, not only that we incorporate many of our players’ ideas and opinions into our games, but who exactly do you compare us to? Do other game developers listen to their players more than us? I highly doubt it, most developers don’t give ANY consideration to their players’ opinions, while we give a lot of consideration, you’re argument does not make any sense and is simply invalid.

You keep referring to some vague “they/them” who are disappointed and annoyed of our games, where are all these people? Could it be that you actually mean “I/me” and were just confused? Because this is how it looks like, if you have requests/feedback there’s a way to put them out there, this is not the way.

Regarding the logic of our puzzles – yes, they are at times not completely logical, but they still usually make sense, they’re goofy, they’re silly, they’re weird, I agree, but they’re also funny, original and refreshing. They’re the opposite of the tiresome key->lock/bone->dog/fishing rode->pond, which we also use, but try to diversify with other ideas too.
We think, scratch that, we KNOW, that many people like our games, that’s why so many people ask us to keep making them and tell us how much they like them. Maybe they’re not for everyone, but the fact is many people do like them, some even love them.

On a side not, we’ve made well over 70 games by now, they’re not all the same, each one is different in it’s own way, they have different “logic” levels, and we’re sure people can find some they like among them, even you.

          • Bill Williams

Okay. Keep making some weird games. And no one loves your games.
